Motivating Others

The topic Motivating Others is a workshop built around three fundamental areas of what it takes to motivate others. The three areas/modules are:

-It starts with you
-How to lead and motivate.
-Why we need to lead and motivate.

It will be very important for me to learn as much as I can about this group via email forms before we work together. It will help me to learn about their concerns and tailor my workshops accordingly.

I will provide a more in-depth look at how your full day workshop will unfold.

Module #1 - It starts with you:

The first module talks about you the person. The only way you can lead and motivate other people is if you are first motivated. I discuss at great length the participant's individual personality and how who we are comes with us as we lead others. We need to be in charge of our lives and our emotions before we can truly connect with our staff.

The workshops will be based around their strengths and weaknesses and how they can learn to build on what they are good at and accept some of what they are not. Based around the 90%/10% concept.

This is a very important module. Personal accountability is the first step to making change and understanding how important leadership is and how great leaders are also, great people.

Module #2 - How to lead and motivate:

This will give your participants some great tools to have in their leadership tool box. Some of the many areas we will cover are:
. Using the Focusing on the 90% philosophy of building employees up and encouraging them.
. Learning to empower and get others involved in the motivation of your area and your
department.
. Learn to ask employees individually what motivates them.
. Adapting your leadership style to each and every employee.
. Learning that we can NOT be the same leader to each person we lead.
. Lead by example.

They will leave this module with the understanding that so much about leadership is about how well you connect with your staff. It is all about basics but sadly, even the basics are rarely taught.

Module #3 - Why we need to lead and motivate.

This is a module that is left out of most leadership training. We are taught how to but not taught why.

This will be a reminder for the participants that leaders and managers play a huge role in the self-esteem of their staff members. It is important that we learn to look for signs of stress, depression and withdrawal from our employees.

We need to take our role as leaders seriously. We have all worked for someone who was not an effective leader and we will always remember how we were treated.

We will end the day with a strong message reminding this group of up and coming Leaders that you hold the self-esteem of your employees in your hands.

My goal will be to create leaders that go forward and leave a legacy.
